Students in grades 6th – 12th residing in El Paso and Hudspeth counties were eligible to participate in the Story/Video Contest. Each story and video clip must reflect the contestant’s own research, writing, and original thinking on the specified topic. Only the top 10 finalists will be required to create a 30-45 second video clip to reflect their story
Students were permitted to invite up to two people (a peer, parent or teacher) to assist with the creation of the video to participate as actors, narrators, or help direct the video clip. However, the content in the video was based on the student’s story.
Finalists were given one zip lock bag of shredded money, provided by the Federal Reserve Bank that was required to be used in the video. Students also used other materials along with the shredded money as visual aids.
The video clips are available to view at www.facebook.com/moneysmartweekep. Please vote for your favorite videos!
